Suggested yarn:
4 (5, 5) hanks Briggs & Little Heritage
(215 yd / 196 m per 4 oz / 113 g hank; 100% Wool) in #75 Mulberry
Two hanks will make the scarf; 2 (3, 3) hanks will make the gaiters.
The sample gaiters used exactly 2 hanks. If you are making the scarf and the sample size gaiters, you will have enough yarn left over from the scarf to finish the gaiters, should your row gauge not match the stated gauge. However, if you are working only the sample size gaiters, you may wish to purchase an additional hank of yarn just in case.

Needles:
Size 8 US / 5 mm needles
Size 7 US / 4.5 mm circular needle, 24” / 60 cm long
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

To save time and to ensure accurate sizing, check gauge.
