This pattern takes a twist on the traditional fern lace pattern, works out a beginning and end to prevent half-ferns, and surrounds it with a broken garter border. It works well in solid and variegated colors, and it’s a great pattern to develop “lace discipline” because mistakes show up quickly and clearly.

It’s very feminine in pink, but great for men in darker colors. Also works well in lighter weights.
