Fern Socks
The Fern Socks feature the new Fern heel and two stitch motifs -- a geometric lace arrow to help you work your way up the foot and a ribbed Fern pattern to echo the heel and provide stretch and interest up the back of the leg.
The Fern heel is one of ten new sock heels in The Heels for Days Sock Club ebook. A variation on a short-row heel, it turns the heel shaping inside out and provides a roomier heel fit with a series of decorative and functional increases and decreases.
The Fern heel can be knit into any sock pattern, whether toe up or top down. The Heels for Days Sock Club includes basic sock patterns for toe up, top down, and toe-to-toe constructions.
The Fern Socks are worked from the toes up. They’re perfect for using matching balls of gradient sock yarns because you can knit them until you’ve used up every scrap of each pretty colour!
