Festive Forest Gnome Afghan
Pattern is worked using the overlay mosaic crochet method.
Each row is worked in one color only; no color changes within rows.
Work is not turned; always work with the right side facing.
Yarn is cut at the end of each row and rejoined at the beginning of the next row.
FLDC stitches are worked two rows below into the same color.
This mosaic technique is not reversible; front and back will look different.
Pattern includes graph chart and row-by-row written instructions.
Fringe is created at the beginning and end of each row; yardage is based on a 3” fringe.
Optional finishing methods include weaving in ends or using an envelope (pocket) border.
Finished size and yardage may vary depending on yarn choice, hook size, and tension.
