About the Knitting Pattern
The Festive Penguins Jacket is a joyful Christmas knit designed to fit children from 2 to 11 years old. Worked in double knitting (DK) wool, this cardigan features a cabled yoke and four cheerful penguins—two on the front and two on the back—each wrapped up in colourful scarves and topped with festive pompom hats. The jacket fastens with three buttons at the yoke, allowing the lower body to drape comfortably for a relaxed, child friendly fit. Ribbed edges at the neckline, cuffs, and hem give a tidy, stretchy finish that holds its shape beautifully.

Design Details
The back, left front, right front, and sleeves are each worked flat up to the yoke. All pieces are then joined onto the same needle to complete the decorative cable design across the yoke. Once the yoke is finished, the sleeve and side seams are sewn together. Stitches are picked up along the front edges to knit the button and buttonhole bands. A full chart is provided for the penguin motif.
