About the Knitting Pattern
A festive jacket for babies and toddlers aged 6–12 months and 18–24 months, featuring an adorable Christmas robin motif on both the front and the back. Knitted in double knitting (DK) wool, the cardigan includes a beautifully textured cabled yoke and fastens neatly with three buttons at the top. The pattern is written in English and supplied as a digital download PDF.

Design Details
The back, left front, right front, and sleeves are each worked flat up to the yoke. All pieces are then joined onto the same needle to complete the decorative cable design across the yoke. Once the yoke is finished, the sleeve and side seams are sewn together. Stitches are then picked up along the front edges to knit the button and buttonhole bands. A chart is provided for the robin motifs.

The pattern includes two sizes:
• 6–12 months
• 18–24 months

Skills Level
Intermediate. The pattern includes written instructions, but you will also need experience of:
• Working from a chart for the robin motif
• Using a cable needle to complete the yoke design

Yarn
This pattern uses double knitting (DK) wool. Suitable alternatives include USA Light Worsted or Australian 8 ply.

• Rico Baby Classic DK — Green (027), Red (009), White (001)
• Stylecraft DK — Black (1002), Brown Walnut (1054), Yellow Sunshine (1114)

Needles
• 3.25 mm (USA 3) and 4.0 mm (USA 6) straight needles

Other Requirements
• 1 cable needle (4 mm)
• Stitch holders
• 3 buttons
• Small crochet hook (optional) for helping pull through yarn when making pompoms
