About the Knitting Pattern
Designed for children aged 1 to 11 years, this festive hat uses double knitting (DK) wool and features a Santa Claus motif, a double rib folded brim, and is topped with a large pompom. The pattern is written in English and supplied as a digital download PDF.

Design Details
The hat is knitted flat on straight needles and the Santa Claus motif is worked from a chart using the intarsia method. The white bobble on Santa’s hat is knitted separately and sewn on. To finish, you will sew the back seam and add the pompom to the top.

Instructions include six sizes:
• 1–2 years
• 2–3 years
• 4–5 years
• 6–7 years
• 8–9 years
• 10–11 years

Skills Level
Intermediate. Written instructions included. Experience working from a chart is required for the motif.

Yarn
Knitted using double knitting (DK) wool. (Overseas equivalents: USA light worsted, Australia 8 ply.)
The sample is shown in Stylecraft Special DK shades: Green (1116), White (1001), Red – Lipstick (1246), Mushroom (1832), and Black (1002).

Needles
3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles
