My little boy had had his first no-parents visit with his grandparents. When it was time to fetch him home, my husband drove the car and I designed this cowl, and thus the Fetching My Boy cowl was created.

It would look lovely made in one colour, or with a main-colour body and contrasting edging. Try a plain or semi-solid body with a complementary multi-coloured edging. The cowl uses approximately 230 yards in total (or 170 yards of the main colour and 60 yards of the contrast border colour). Pattern gauge is 24 stitches and 40 rows to 4 inches of the diamond pattern of the body of the cowl. Achieving exact tension is not vital but may affect the finished size of your cowl and the yardage needed.
The texture pattern on the main body of the cowl is charted only. You need to be able to knit in the round.
Why not make Home Again mitts too, designed to match Fetching My Boy cowl, available on Ravelry. The two patterns are available together in an eBook. Buying the eBook is cheaper than buying the two patterns separately.
