PDF Crochet pattern for the exaggerated, showstopping ‘Fever Dream’ Cardigan. Pattern includes sizes S/M-4XL/5XL. It features a voluminous sleeve, cropped length and a faux knit look texture. This pattern uses yarn over slip stitch and slip stitch in the back loop only. It’s not a beginner pattern, and you should be comfortable with the stitches used and possibly also have worked based off of my patterns before. I’d say it’s an intermediate pattern.

This pattern is made with a 12mm hook, and uses approximately 600-1070 meters of any bulky/weight 6 yarn (or yarns adding up to that weight). You will also need 5 buttons, and approx 2 meters of elastic thread to cinch the collar and ribbings. The sweater is designed to be worked in one panel, so you work from side to side all the way around. It is a written pattern with step by step instructions, no images for each step. It is in English and uses standard US terminology, with specifics given in metric units.

Chest measurements straight across: S/M-49cm, L/XL-59cm, 2XL/3XL-69cm, 4XL/5XL-79cm

This pattern has not been tested in size 4XL/5XL, if you want to test that size please reach out!

Pattern is also available in Swedish upon request.

The design is the first part of my FW2021 collection, which focuses on not destroying, but slightly disrupting what we see as beautiful or worthy of praise. Pushing the boundaries of what can be accomplished with crochet equally moves and upsets people. Technically, a heavy cardigan shouldn’t look this dainty. Extreme sleeves shouldn’t be so flattering. Something that looks so knitted shouldn’t be allowed to be crochet. And still, it is.
