These monogram pillow designs require only three crochet stitches - chain stitch, single crochet and the popcorn stitch.

The pattern includes the letters F, G, H, I, J, two pillow back designs that match the border work around the letters and a cow. Also included are row-by-row written instructions and charts for each individual piece, a list of materials, links to our youtube videos, and yarn amounts needed for a finished pillow approximately 18” x 18”.

Total yards: 800 per pillow (400 each side) Gauge: 14 stitches = 4 inches

We recommend fully crocheting your pillow piece and then measuring before purchasing your pillow inserts. These designs result in a pillow approx. 18” x 18”. If you crochet with a tighter tension, your pillow may be smaller so you will need a 16” x 16” pillow insert. If you crochet looser you may need a 20” x 20” insert. It also depends on how full you want your pillow. I used a regular pillow insert and a boxed edge pillow insert. The boxed edge insert gave me a fuller look.

Make an alphabet blanket using the monogram letters of your loved ones.
Small, 4 squares = 38” x 41” (baby blanket with initials of parents, siblings, grandparents, or maybe a cow.)
Medium, 9 squares = 57” x 61” (child size)
Large, 12 squares (pictured) = 57” x 82” (adult size)

The pillows in the photos were made using Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn (a medium 4 weight yarn). Use a lighter weight yarn (3) and get a smaller finished size. Varying the size of your pillows always looks better when grouped together.
