Dedicated to my dear friend, Mary Brown

A shawl designed for the Carolina Fiber Fest with a bit of sampler look for easy knitting. A checklist pattern with nine sections using DK weight yarn, works up quickly with a new section waiting for you to try a sampling of stitches. This shawl is an ode to my dear sweet friend, Mary Brown and to fiber friends everywhere.

DK weight SAMPLE was knit using 450 yards of Suburban Stitcher DK colorway Faded Lavender (100% merino; 250 yards, 115g).

This pattern was tech edited by Ellen Silva and graphic design by Erica Gunn. Photography by Anna Stauber and model is Johanna Smith. The pattern has been test knit by Susan Sitze, Martha Myers, and Carolyn Beasley of the CFF committee.
