DESCRIPTION
For a while now, I’ve been wanting to make something using the Fibonacci sequence in stripes. I’ve always liked the way it looks, but I’ve always dreaded making a blanket in some sort of solid fabric.
The Fibonacci Sequence is the series of numbers: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, … The next number is found by adding up the two numbers before it.
I was inspired by the sequence and used the numbers of the sequence to dictate my stripe pattern calculations.

The Fibonacci knitting pattern is very simple, just a repeat of stockinette stitch in two different colors.
This knit stitch blanket pattern is knit from the bottom up, worked flat (back and forth).
