This pattern reminds me of that graceful, signature curl of the beautiful and wild fiddlehead fern. Fiddleheads are the furled fronds of a young fern, harvested for use as a vegetable. Left on the plant, each fiddlehead would unroll into a new frond. This design brings a touch of spring to the long cold winter!

Basic Fair Isle techniques used.

The extra yardage accounts for the large pom on accented on the hat.
