Fiddleheads Fern Budding
You can handmake these budding ferns with a variety of bud sizes, in a variety of lengths, and use pipe cleaners or flower stem wire to curl them as loose or as tight as you prefer. The flexible stalks will give you the ability to place them in dirt, sand, or stone … with the adjustability to curl/coil them for the perfect look.
These life size Fiddleheads can be made with smooth coils
or woolly coils by adding some fuzzy yarn. I used a combo of Green yarns to give the realistic color scheme.
Your furled fronds will remind you of Spring and last forever.
Crochet, Bullion stitch, Tunisian method
