While designing this pattern I was going through the worst season of my life, dealing with major depression and healing from so much loss. One of the colors used in the sample shares a name with a dear friend that passed away way too soon.
Poppies are commonly used as a symbol of remembrance, peace and death. I feel all of these words represented where I was in that season.

This wrap is filled with so much texture and detail. It is perfect for those chilly mornings or evenings, the extra long size is an added bonus.
Not quite beginner beginner friendly due to the type of granny square used and the way they are joined, yet if you are patient and follow the pattern row by row I believe anyone can make it.

There is minimal increasing involved in this design, center piece only. The wings/sides are worked in back and forth rows
