Filigree Flakes Ornament
Make your own ornaments to decorate your Christmas tree or to give as gifts or sell. A quick fun project perfect for winter time.
Quick to make and great for using up small amounts of leftover yarn. Worked in 5 rounds from the center out.
These colorful ornaments are designed to look like snowflakes with a star in the center and a contrast border of looping slip stitches for a whimsical detail inspired by filigree metalwork.
These also make a great last minute gift, stocking stuffer, surprise inside a Christmas card, embellishment for a wrapped gift, or make several and join them together to create a garland!
The PDF pattern includes all the details you need with materials list, written pattern, pattern chart, clear instructions, photos of each step, and a link to the free video tutorial (available on my YouTube channel, channel link below).
Pattern written using US Crochet Terminology
Recommended yarn: Cotton Fair or Minikins yarn by Premier (#2 fine cotton/acrylic yarn) or feel free to experiment with other weights and contents of yarn. You will need 4 colors - White plus 3 colors of your choice. Have fun playing with different color combinations!
Ornaments measure about 3.5” across, 3.75” tall (not including the optional hanging loop).
