I wanted to give someone a present and was asked for a scarf, but to knit a run of the mill one is really tedious and all my instincts were against it. Apart from that when a scarf is to be long it gets bulky and is then a real nuisance to carry around, which is something I always do. Without knitting in my bag I just don’t feel complete, something important is missing!

So the idea for a scarf to be made up of several pieces popped into in my head and it has been great fun figuring these out and later putting them together.
In this way you can make endless combinations by simply changing the pieces around – a sort of cubic Rubik or Lego in scarf form!

You can wear the scar buttoned up as cowl or open as a scarf. If you feel something different you can also take out a couple of sections, in which case the cowl fits closely round the neck. In fact the whole thing is very versatile and you can easily ring the changes, so now you have fun knitting and trying out variations!
