Fimbulwinter gauntlets were designed to use up that partial skein of sock yarn that you’ve got hanging around after finishing a pair of socks.

The motif might look complex but it’s easily memorised.

The gauntlets are quite stretchy. However, suggestions are given in the pattern to modify the width.

Fimbulwinter is part of my collection Among the Æsir, a series of accessories named for the Norse gods and their world. Fimbulwinter is a very harsh and cold winter three times the length of a normal winter. It is the prelude to Ragnarök, the end of the world.
