This is a quick, easy pattern for a chunky cowl to keep out the winter chill. Named “Final Whistle” as it was designed and the prototype crocheted while the rest of the family were watching a football match on the TV!

Any chunky yarn is suitable and I’ve suggested you use aran weight yarn for the ties - although really you could use any scraps you like.

I used approx 50g/80m of each of the chunky yarns suggested and a small amount of the aran for the ties and pom poms.
