FinEst Socks design bows to the traditional Estonian stranded mitten patterns published in Suur Kindaraamat by Reet Piiri. Socks are fully stranded and knitted cuff down. The name FinEst stands for Finland-Estonia.

There’s only one stitch count available (72 sts) so the width of the sock can be adjusted only by changing the gauge. The length of the leg and foot is adjustable both by adding or removing pattern repeats and changing the length of the corrugated ribbing cuff and pinstripe pattern prior to toe decreases.

The pattern has been test knitted but the final revised version hasn’t been re-tested thus please let me know if you find any mistakes in the instructions!
