A neat fisherman’s rib cowl that can be worn on either side. Use any yarn from lace or sock (held double) to a dk or light worsted, and enjoy the warm textured fabric the stitch pattern produces.

The pattern includes instruction to knit both a cowl and snood (wrapped around neck twice) in sport and DK WEIGHT yarn.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Circumference: 27 (54)” / 69 (138) cm
Height: 8” / (20) cm

YARN
Approximately 400 (800) yards / 370 (730) meters of any sport weight yarn OR 350 (700) yards / 320 (650) meters of any dk weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size US 3 (3.25mm) OR US 5 (3.75mm) 16” circular needle) or sizes to obtain correct gauge

GAUGE
20 sts and 24 rows = 4” (10 cm) over ribbing using larger needles
