Fior di zucca shawl sample takes its colors from the zucchini flowers. This pattern is designed for those variegated yarns that are often too busy for a delicate lace. Knitting begins with a garter tab cast on. Increases are worked in the stockinette st sections. In the lace sections the st counts remain the same. Two different lace patterns are easy to knit with short repeats and only a few basic decreases are used. Lace knitting occurs only on the right side rows. An additional fringe can be added.
