Inspired by classic fisherman’s sweaters, Fir & Flannel is an all over cabled beanie knit with DK weight yarn. Named for two of my cozy winter faves - Frasier Fir scented anything and soft flannel button downs, this hat is ready to hop on your needles. 

This pattern includes both charted and fully written instructions.

Alternating Cable Cast On, Cables, Increases and Decreases, Twisted Stitches

Needles
Size A For Body: One 16” / 40 cm circular needle, US 6 / 4 mm or size needed to get gauge
Size B For Ribbing: One 16” / 40 cm circular needle, US 3 / 3.25 mm

Notions
Removable stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle to weave in ends

Gauge
25 sts and 30 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in Cable Pattern

Recommend swatching method: Work one repeat of Rounds 1-32 of Cable Pattern on pg 4, in the round. Block swatch, allow to dry and measure gauge.
