Fira means ‘celebrate’ in Swedish.
Let´s celebrate more often – not just the big holidays, but also all the stuff in our lives that we love and appreciate – new beginnings and small achievements, having good friends or just an ordinary working day.
Simply use some scrap yarn and add some festive touch to your home!

MATERIALS
Yarn: Sport weight yarn, ca 320 m/100 g
The sample is worked with Dandelion yarns Rosy sport (100% merino wool, 320 m/100 g). Each flag requires ca 16 m/5 g of yarn. You´ll also need an additional amount of yarn to join the flags together.

Needles: 3 mm/US 2.5 - two dpns and one circular needle. (The circular needle is used for the CO only. It´s easiest to work the CO with a short circular needle but any length will work.)

Crochet hook: 3 mm

Notions: Tapestry needle, removable marker

GAUGE
24 sts x 48 rows = 10 cm/4” square in garter stitch

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS of each flag
Width: 10 cm
Height: 12.5 cm

NOTE
The pattern is easy to adapt and will work well with any yarn. Different yarn weights will result in smaller/larger flags. Choose a needle size that gives you a pretty firm fabric. Adjust the size of the crochet hook accordingly.

CONSTRUCTION
The flags are worked bottom up in garter stitch, with smooth i-cord edges. The flags are then joined together using a crochet hook.
