An easy cowl and designed to make the most of one skein of yarn with subtle gradations in color. The fabric creates zig-zag lines that look like fire escapes. Cast-on and bind-off edges are mirrored.

If you can knit, purl and work in the round on a circular needle, this knitted escape can be yours. Pattern is written and charted.

Schoppel-Wolle Gradient has slow color changes, and no two balls are exactly alike. Some have more dramatic variation in color than others. When shopping, see which particular ball of yarn will give you the color effect you want.

Written with the predominantly knit side as the right side. I have seen this worn with the predominantly purl side as the right side, and it looks just as interesting that way.
