This sock pattern is comprised of knits, purls increases, decreases, and slipped stitches. The pattern continues on the entire foot, over the heel flap, and incorporates the decreases the gusset decreases into the pattern. It is possible to modify the length of both the leg and foot, and instructions for both modifications are written in the pattern.

You should have some level of proficiency in reading charts to attempt this pattern. This pattern is recommended for moderate or advanced knitters; I’d recommend that you not attempt this sock without having knit socks before.

If you knit with fingering/sock weight yarn with the recommended needles for the yarn, and you match that gauge, then you will be just fine. For optimal results, I’d recommend using any of the Knit Picks Stroll lines, or a comparable yarn line, such as Patons Sock or Deborah Norville Serenity Sock.
