Firefly Forest Socks
This beautiful five colour fade from Gingersnap captures the magic of day drifting gently into night. The dreamy gradient was the perfect yarn to play with this fun texture. It is an 8 round repeat that is thoroughly addictive and very fun, which is my favourite recipe for a sock. It looks way more complicated than it is!!
The sample is knit in a 5 mini skein set called Firefly Forest from Gingersnap Yarn. If you don’t want to use minis, the pattern would also look great in a variegated, speckled or self-striping yarn. Check out my tester’s project pages for inspiration.
Written and charted instructions are included with a video tutorial to show the motif being worked.
The sock is knit from the top down with a heel flap and traditional gusset. I finished it with my version of a rounded toe.
Small 56 stitch, (Medium 64 stitch, Large 72 stitch).
7 (8, 9) inches / 18 (20.25, 23) cm,approximate foot circumference.
Huge thanks to my test knitters Heather J, Rochelle, Leanne, Joseé, Jess, Ally, Leah, Susy and Traci for their feedback and their beautiful socks.
