First Light is a unisex circular yoke pullover with a stranded colourwork yoke and duplicate stitch embroidery detail. Inspired by dappled light through pine trees on early summer mornings.

The pattern has been updated in May 2026. Version 3.0 includes a redesigned layout, updated branding, added schematic with measurements in both centimetres and inches, individual, updated colourwork charts, US needle sizes and more.

The sweater is worked from the bottom up in the round with the body and sleeves are worked separately, then joined at the underarm and shaped with German short rows before working the colourwork yoke.
