This carpet uses around 1850 meters (slightly less then 2000 yards) of cotton string, 5 mm thick It’s the same kind of the string they put in sweatshirts around the hood. I used a 10 mm crocheting hook (in the US: size N/P). The whole work took me about 12 hours.

The diameter of the carpet is 150 cm and its weight is 8.3 kilos.
