This pattern is knitted flat, starting with the rim of the hat and then decreasing at the crown. It is then sewn together. The rim is intended to fold upward, but can be made smaller if required.

Materials required:

4.00 mm needles - straight or circular as preferred
DK weight yarn (8 ply)
I used King Cole Merino DK wool
Darning needle

Measurements:

CHILD S (0 - 5 yrs) 45-50cm
CHILD L (6 - 10 yrs) 50-55cm
ADULT S/M 55-60cm
ADULT M/L 60-65cm

There is some give within the stitch,
size up for a slouchier look.
