The “Fishing For Compliments” sweater is available in english and german. (Unten ist die deutsche Beschreibung).

As a „Hamburger Deern“ (a girl from Hamburg) I love maritime designs. But it should not have this hanseatic stiff looking. Here is a whole fish swarm swimming around the yoke. The little bobbles at the end of the neckband look like pearls. (Cool, said my husband, with a knitted in necklace).
This boxy sweater has a deep yoke and is not to long. Compared to the body the sleeves are quite slim.
There is a long sleeved and a short sleeved version.
You need two colours with enough contrast. Choose a yarn which is good for stranded knitting. It should not be too sleek so that the threads can connect properly.
Please: Gauge is crucial, it spares your nerves!
Please scroll down for yardage.
Measures of the washed and blocked garment:
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL, 3XL)
Depth of yoke, measured in centre front: 11 (11, 11.5, 12, 13, 13.5, 14) inch.
Bust circumfence: 36 (39, 43, 46, 49, 51.5, 54) inch.
Upper arm circumfence: 11 (11.5, 12, 12.5, 13, 13.5, 13.5) inch.
I want to thank all the wonderful testknitters!
