A beanie made with novelty fluffy yarn contained by a net of Aran yarn. The hat is cast on at the brim and worked in the round up to the crown.

This hat is a fishnet style lattice of yarn holding back the
fluff. The hat is knit in the round using 2 colour corrugated
ribbing, with wrapped stitches creating the lattice effect. It
uses a dark coloured, Aran weight, plied yarn to contrast
the pale fluff. The ribbing, colourwork floats, and fluff all
combine to create a soft thick material for extra warmth

As the hat is ribbed (keeping the floats loose), it should
stretch to fit a range of sizes covering small-medium adults.
The hat includes turned up ribbing at the brim to allow the
length to be adjusted to fit the wearer as well. A larger
needle size (or two) can easily be used without affecting the
look of the hat (as the fluffy yarn minimizes any gaps) to
either help tight knitters achieve the gauge, or to increase
the size of the hat.

The sample is knitted using 50g (1 skein) of Rico Essentials Super Aran in Colour 007 and 20g (less than half a skein) of Rico Baby Teddy Aran in Colour 011.
