My son is a huge Five Nights at Freddy’s Fan, and it has been a hit with many kids! While I can’t say I totally understand the hype, I do know that I love the smile that lit up my son’s face when I made him one of these baskets. It is so incredibly unique, unlike anything you can get in the store. This basket makes a fantastic gift for all Five Nights at Freddy’s fans. They feel so special to receive something that reflects something they enjoy so much.

I would consider this an intermediate crochet pattern. There are written and video instructions included for all of the special stitches. You can follow the pattern as it is written, and the basket will measure 18 inches in diameter, 6 inches tall and 7 inches across. It will easily hold 1 1/4 pounds of candy for Easter or Halloween, and it can fit 15 to 20 regular sized Easter eggs inside.

Because there is no specific gauge for this pattern, you can easily bump up a hook size or a few hook sizes to increase the size of the basket. It is written with instructions for a 6”, 8” and 10” base with worsted weight yarn and an F crochet hook. I like the structure of the basket with this tight weave. However, you may choose to crochet it however you like!

Materials:
-F5 3.75mm hook
-G6 for eyes and ears only
-6” cake board, optional 8” or 10” for larger sized baskets
-approximately 4.5 feet of 22 gauge wire, 5 feet or 5.5 feet respectively for larger sized baskets
-1 skein dark brown worsted weight
-half an oz light brown worsted weight for muzzle
-half an oz amount gray for ears/tie
-small amount blue for eyes
-small amount black for eyes, noes and eyebrows
-small amount white for eyes
-small amount polyfil stuffing for muzzle

Special stitches you will need to know are post sc, reverse single crochet, back loops only. The rest of the pattern is written with sc, hdc, dc, slst and ch. Written and video instructions are provided for each special stitch. You will also need to know how to crochet over wire. Video instructions are provided for this technique.

I would consider this pattern to be advanced beginner.
