Knit from a single ball of yarn that travels the colour spectrum from reddish-purple to yellow to off white, this half-circle shawl features a chevron pattern reminiscent of flames. The flames grow wider and longer with each lace segment worked and showcase the beauty of the yarn changing colours at long intervals.

The half circle shaped shawl is worked from the top down. The first segment is worked in garter stitch, followed by segments in lace patterns. The edging of the shawl uses German short-rows with double stitches.
The shawl is designed to show the complete colour scheme of the gradient yarn and uses almost all of the yarn.

ERRATA GRADIENT STYLE BOOK VERSION ONLY
The row numbers in the first section are not correct because row 7 and 8 are missing. There aren’t any instructions missing, but just the numbering is wrong. So what is called row 9 is indeed row 7; what is called row 10 is row 8 and so on. Row 31 (former row 33) should then read: Rep Row 7.

All wrong side rows in the lace sections are to be worked as explained in the notes with ‘sl 2 wyf’ at the beginning and the end of the row.
