Flame On is a symmetrical, triangular shawl that is worked side to side. The natural shape of the brioche stitch pattern causes the shawl to increase and decrease in a straight line on one side while undulating on the other. While two sizes (small and large) are given for this pattern, it can easily be customized for whatever weight yarn you would like to knit it in.

Large shawl (81” x 37” on blocking board) shown in Fiber Optic Yarns’ Kashmir (MCN 420 yds./4 ounce skein): (MC) Cathedral (2 skeins) and (CC) Tuscon Gold (2 skeins)

Small shawl (56” x 26” on blocking board) shown in Fiber Optic Yarns’ Kashmir (MCN 420 yds./4 ounce skein): (MC) Eye of Newt (1 skein) and (CC) Nightshade (1 skein)
