This lace shawl pattern by Sara Lamb is one of four patterns available in the Winter 2011 issue of SpinKnit, a dynamic digital eMag from Interweave. In designing a knitted lace shawl perfect for painting, Sara Lamb was inspired by the shapes and colors of fire. The flame design starts small at the neckline, and the motifs grow as the shawl gets larger toward the hem. The three-quarter shape fits easily around the shoulders. To learn more about painting lace, see “Spin to Knit Silk!” (SpinKnit, Winter 2011), “Painting Silk” (Colorways Fall 2011), or “Painting with Dyes on Knitted or Woven Fabric” (Spin-Off Fall 2003).

This eMag is also available for Mac and iPad.
