Flamingo Spring Cardigan
The Flamingo Spring Cardigan is a drop shoulder cardigan, with a good amount of positive ease around the bust. The length is designed to end on your high hips, so it is slightly cropped. The circumference at the bottom is smaller than around the bust, though you can also leave it the same as around the bust, if you prefer.
It is knitted top down, casting on stitches for the back neck and then working increases for the shoulder lines. Once the back part is done, you pick up stitches for the front and work some short rows, in order to shape the shoulder slopes. After the front and back part are done, they are joined and the body is knitted back and forth. Some decreases are worked on the body to reduce the circumference at the bottom of the cardigan. The sleeves and collar are worked by picking up stitches. Finally the double knitted button band is worked.
