Flannel was inspired by Fall and all the fun things about it! For me, wearing a flannel shirt with some jeans and comfy socks is so ideal. Using that as inspiration led to the creation of this pattern.

Flannel was done in an OOAK from Dragon Hoard Yarn and with that in mind you will be using US Size 2 (2.75 mm) DPNs, Stitch marker, and a darning needle to bind off both the toe and heel. You will have to do an afterthought heel with this pattern but I linked a video in the pattern to help you with creating the afterthought heel.

You will also need 3 different skeins with these socks and with those three colors you will need one mini skein and two regular skeins of yarn. If you get confused in a way, please reach out to me because I am glad to help in any way I can.

The gauge for this pattern is 8 sts x 10 rows= 1” or 2.5 cm. However, if you are a tighter knitter, I suggest going up a size due to the afterthought heel. There will be another heel option in the pattern so if you are not comfortable with doing an afterthought heel then you can have a second option for your heel.
