Inspired by the hand-knitted products in the movie ‘Zack and Miri make a Prono’, I want a hat with pompom and ear-flap for my DC inauguration trip. Although it turn out a bit different from what I expect, but it’s surprisingly good.

This hat is basicially knitted in 2 pieces and then joined together. It’s started with a circular edge, continue using the caston yarn to knit the bottom part of the first piece first, change to another, finish shaping corwn, and then work on the other symmetric piece. The two piece will be jointed together and created a chess-board like transition of color.
