This is a digital pattern for creating your own Flat Alex. I used weight 4 yarn and a 3.0 mm hook, however you can use whatever yarn and hook you would like. I used less than one skein of the main color and scrap amounts of the other colors. If you wish for your Flat Alex to hold a fingerboard you should choose yarn that is close to the recommended yarn.

Pattern includes the doll as well as the bonus Flat Karley doll. It is a NO SEW pattern and works up very quickly. It will be great for stash busting and would work well as bag clips, stocking stuffers and a travel toy.

My finished doll is 7.5” total height. I also made some using YarnArt Jeans and Yarn Art Bouquet, he was about 6” tall. He did still hold the fingerboard but it was a tighter fit.

Supplies:
Any yarn you choose
Hook that matches your yarn
Stitch Marker
Yarn Needle
8 mm Safety Eyes (or eyes to match your yarn type)

I used:
Big Twist Value and Lion Brand Pound of Love and a 3.0mm hook. I also used 8mm eyes.

Additional Notes:
This pattern is written for continuous rounds, Use a stitch marker to keep track of your beginning of the round and a tally counter to keep track of rows.
I use invisible decreases throughout this project.
Repeat instructions are in parenthesis - example (sc, inc) 6 means to work one single crochet and in the following stitch, work an increase and repeat those instructions a total of 6 times.
The stitch count for each round is in parenthesis at the end of each set of instructions for that round. -example (sc, inc)6 (18) tells you that you will have 18 stitches at the end of that round.
