The pattern starts out with a circle to create a base for the pom pom. Then, loops are crocheted into the base to form the fluffy pom pom effect.

This pom pom has a flat back so is perfect for sewing on as an embellishment. I designed it to serve as a bunny rabbit tail for the back of a sweater.
