Fleece Invaders is a whimsical, six-foot-long, double-knit, ovine homage to late 1970s arcade video games. The scarf features an invisible two-color alternating cast-on, a matching kitchener graft bind-off, and an optional twisted fringe. At the mid-point of the pattern, the sheep motifs change orientation ensuring the sheep are upright at both ends of the scarf when worn.

You will need 650 yards of each of two contrasting colors of fingering-weight sock yarn, plus approximately 60 additional yards for the optional fringe. Any fingering-weight sock yarn will work - use your imagination!

The pattern includes written instructions, two double-knit charts (the sheep change orientation at the pattern mid-point), plus a detailed photo-tutorial for the invisible, two-color alternating cast-on. Detailed instructions for the optional fringe are also included. Kitchener graft stitch instructions are not included.
