Fletching
A simple pattern, perfect for the beginner looking to improve their skills, or anyone who wants to make a lovely, snuggly shawl!
The shawl uses The Border Mill’s Alpaca Tweed Silk, either used as a gradient colour change, or as a single colour.
The 5-colour gradient uses the following:
- Himalayan Poppy (2 x 50g skeins)
- Periwinkle (2 x 50g skeins)
- Lupin (1 x 50g skein)
- Viola (1 x 50g skein)
- Queen of the Night (1 x 50g skein)
The single colour shawl uses: 6 x 50g skeins in colour Spruce.
The shawl is designed to wrap around the body with a slight curve to the upper edge. The pattern is written for one size only, but could be easily added to (or made smaller!) for the single-colour shawl by simply adding more, or fewer, repetitions of Rows A, B and C.
It should be noted that I’m relatively new to crochet and that this is the first pattern I’ve ever written, so whilst I’ve tried my best and double-checked everything please do feel free to offer suggestions or to contact me if anything is unclear. I hope you enjoy the project, and the finished shawl!
