This cowl pattern is dedicated to my dear friend Aagje who moved back to Europe for new adventures. May knitting always bring her joy and happiness!
The cowl is knit bottom-up starting off with a chevron lace border that is knit flat. After joining the ends of the border with a 3 needle bind off you pick up stitches for the rest of the cowl which is knit in the round. A small short row section at the very top creates the necessary drape for the cowl to fall nicely around your neck.

Blocking tip
Use two long single point needles (or any other long stick such as skewers) to stretch your cowl for blocking, see picture on the left.
When the cowl is almost dry remove the pins and needles and rotate the cowl for final drying to avoid creases.
