THIS PATTERN IS ON SALE FOR LIMITED TIME
Buy until 28-08 to get 40% off!
The Fleur de Lune Nightgown is a made-to-measure lacy camisole dress with minimal seaming and almost no ends to weave in. The perfect project for a single ball of gradient fine yarn! Wear it as a fancy slip dress for sleeping or dress it up as a beach cover-up. It can also be easily shortened for a top version.
The pattern includes six unique charted motifs you can choose from to decorate the bust part.
Construction Overview:
The dress is mostly worked top-down. First, the bust is worked flat then closed into a tube for easier fitting. The straps are made right after the bust, so you can try the piece on and check the fit before making the skirt. The waist has space for a ribbon to be threaded through and is made in rounds, continuing along the skirt and trim. Aside from the straps, the whole piece can be worked without breaking the yarn.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner. Familiarity with reading filet crochet charts is recommended for the bust motifs.
Gauge: Since this is a made-to-measure piece, meeting gauge is not essential. Feel free to use your preferred smaller hook size with a thinner yarn to achieve drape.
Yarn amount: Pictured piece uses exactly 1 ball of the suggested yarn and the model has 78cm bust circumference.
Measurements: You’ll only need two measurements to size this pattern.
- Bust length (A): the vertical coverage you want, that can be taken from a similar garment that already fits the way you like.
- Bust circumference (B): the fullest part of your bust, usually at nipple level, minus negative ease.
The skirt length is easily adjustable to your desired fit or yarn amount (there’s no loosing to yarn chicken here!)
