The cardigan is started at the hem. The body is worked in one piece until the underarms. Then the fronts and the back worked separately until the shoulders. The shoulders are joined with the Three-Needle Bind Off. The sleeves are started at the cuff and knitted in the round. The flower and ivy inspired lace pattern is worked on the fronts and on the sleeves. The lace pattern is a variation of a Japanese lace pattern that can be found in Hitomi Shida’s 250 Japanese Knitting Stitches book.
