Named Flimsy, because it feels so light and floaty, this scarf makes a perfect summer accessory. It is perfect for adding a splash of colour as well as a little extra warmth on a summer evening, or even on cooler days, without adding extra weight as it uses less than 50g of lace weight yarn. Because it is worked on large needles to create a thin, draping fabric, it knits up very quickly making it ideal for a last-minute gift for yourself or for someone else.

After blocking the scarf measures 54” long by 6.5” wide. Pattern tension is 19 stitches and 21 rows to 4 inches over blocked stocking stitch, although exact tension is not vital (but may affect finished size and yardage requirements).

The pattern contains written instructions only, no charts.

You need to be able to: work yarn-overs, be brave enough to drop stitches when instructed (!).

A word to the wise:- stocking stitch-based fabric rolls, it can’t be helped, it is the nature of the beast. Do block the scarf for a neat finish but don’t be surprised if it doesn’t stay flat in wear.
