This is a simple cowl, knitted in the round. Fold it down for a double layer of warmth around your neck on frosty days, flip it up when you need to protect your face from the chill.

Knit in a super bulky yarn, this works up quickly and is suitable for beginners. You could easily adapt it to use with a different yarn or gauge-- simply cast on more or fewer stitches and work more or fewer rows depending on whether you’re using a thinner or bulkier yarn, choosing a needle size that gives you a nice fabric with that yarn’s weight.

To complete this project, you’ll need to know how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off, and knit in the round.
