We have designed a straight and short cardigan model with a narrow fit over the shoulders. A multi-coloured yoke with a repetitive pattern decorates an otherwise plain design. Parts of the yoke pattern are also put on the ribbings. The yoke is designed so that only two colours are used at a time and the floats are kept to a minimum length.

The cardigan is knitted in stockinette stitch. The body is knitted in the round from the bottom up with a steek at the front. Three sets of short rows are made over the back to raise the yoke for a more comfortable fit of the neckline. The sleeves are knitted in the round until you reach the underarm sleeve length. Thereafter, you continue to work the sleeves and the body in one piece. You start with raglan decreases and continue with a round yoke with decreases to shape the top of the cardigan.

The steek at the body front is machine-sewed and cut open. Stitches for button bands are picked up down the fronts. A ribbon is put on top of the raw yarn edges.
