Flora Scarf
The Flora Scarf is knitted in one piece. While the beautiful lace pattern creates delicate knitted flowers, the edge of the scarf is worked in garter stitch and holds the lace pattern in shape. The piece is worked with a soft and super light yarn combination of mohair and silk. Mohair is considered one of the lightest natural fibre in the world and in addition has a temperature regulating feature. Thanks to its elasticity it does not wrinkle very much which means that the scarf drapes nicely across the neck and shoulders. The natural fiber silk stands out due to its shimmer and lightness. It is shape-retaining, which means it holds the piece in form and evens out the difference in temperature. This combination in pattern and yarn give the scarf a high-quality and modern look.
Size:
The finished scarf measures approximately 57 cm (22,5 inches) in widths and 150 cm (59 inches) in lengths. These measurements can vary slightly depending on how tight or loose you knit.
Materials:
- 75 g Premia by Lamana (60 % mohair (super kid), 40 % silk). Meterage/running length: 25 g =300 m. Weight: Fine (Sport). Alternatively: Yarn with the weight Fine (Sport). Pleases make sure to match the running length of the yarn and work a swatch to check the gauge.
- 3 mm (US 3, GWR 11) circular knitting needles (100-120 cm / 39-47 inches bands), two cable needles and several markers.
Care:
Hand wash. Use mild detergent without softener. Dry flat.
Have fun knitting this beautiful and elegant scarf. I would love to see your finished product, so make sure to tag Breeze Knitwear in your foto either on Ravelry or Instagram.
